The Coalition of Peaks invites Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander photographers to take part in the Through Our Lens photo competition—celebrating the strength, culture, connection and leadership of our people.
We're looking for powerful images that capture ties to Country, community, and the changes shaping our future.
Winning and selected photos will feature across Coalition of Peaks communications—helping build a community-led image library for Closing the Gap and reflecting the diversity of who we are and how we see the world.

Prizes and recognition
First Prize: $1,500
Second Prize: $1,000
Licensing Fee: $150 for each additional selected photo (up to 20)
Photographers will retain full copyright and grant the Coalition of Peaks non-exclusive rights to use the selected images across all platforms. Winning and selected photographers will also receive national recognition across our communications channels, helping build professional portfolios and visibility.

Entries close: 13 June 2025
Winners announced: ~7 July 2025
Want to enter the competition?
Follow these steps.
1. Read the Terms & Conditions
Read the Terms and Conditions before you enter. Make sure you're familiar with the competition themes and judging criteria.
2. Capture your story
Take photos that reflect your perspective on one or more of the themes: Country and Culture, Nature, Community, Leadership, Transformation.
3. Sign the Licensing Agreement
You’ll need to download, print and sign the Licensing Agreement. Then scan or photograph it ready to add to your submission.
4. Complete the entry form
Add your details, upload up to 5 photos, include info for each one (file name, title, location, year), and upload your signed Licensing Agreement.

Name your files clearly (e.g. Mark-Carney-01.jpg)
Prepare your file details (filename, title, location, year)
Download and signed the Licensing Agreement
