The Role

The Coalition of Peaks Secretariat is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Director, Finance to join our team. As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisation, the Coalition of Peaks is committed to growing and supporting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce in our sector.

This position is being offered on a full-time maximum term contract basis, for 12 months from commencement.

The Director, Finance is a key leadership role that works collaboratively with the Director of the Office the Executive to oversee the financial operations for the Coalition of Peaks. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director, Finance leads the planning, management and coordination the financial and accounting activities of the Coalition of Peaks in collaboration with the National Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisation as the Policy and Secretariat Team’s auspicing body.

About You

You will bring experience managing and leading finance functions in a not-for-profit context and a demonstrated ability to deliver both operational and strategic finance activities, guidance and support.

You’ll be a flexible and dynamic leader with strong cultural acumen and an understanding of the Coalition of Peaks’ operating environment and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, and you will be able to work with a wide range of stakeholders to support the organisation to meet its financial and strategic objectives while complying with legislative, regulatory, audit, compliance and policy requirements.
